WASHINGTON (July 22, 2019) – On Wednesday, August 7^th at 10:30 am (CT),  House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin C. Peterson is hosting a listening session at Farmfest.  The session will feature United States Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, as well as members of the House Agriculture Committee and the Minnesota congressional delegation.

“I’m looking forward to the lively discussion that I’m sure will take place during our listening session and want to thank Farmfest for providing the opportunity,” said Peterson. “I’m also glad to be welcoming Secretary Perdue to western Minnesota so he can hear directly from producers about the state of the farm economy.  Producers in the area are also looking forward to updates from Secretary Perdue on farm bill implementation and the roll-out of trade aid and disaster payments.”
