WASHINGTON – House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott announced the following additions to the Democratic staff of the House Agriculture Committee.
Caitlin Balagula will serve as Staff Assistant for the Committee and previously interned in the personal office of Chairman David Scott. She also served as Legislative Intern for a New York State Senator, as Policy Fellow for Slow Food USA, and as Policy Fellow for the Brooklyn Borough President. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College in New York.
Victoria Maloch will serve as Legislative Assistant. Prior to joining the Committee, Maloch spent two years in England as a Marshall Scholar, earning master’s degrees in policy from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Arkansas. Previously, Maloch worked in the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy and served as a national officer for the National FFA Organization. She is originally from Emerson, AR, where she grew up on her family’s cattle farm.
Emily Pliscott will serve as Dairy Policy Assistant to the Livestock and Foreign Agriculture Subcommittee. Formerly an intern with the Food and Agriculture Organization and National Farmers Union, Pliscott graduated from the University of Minnesota and is pursuing her M.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Missouri.
