WASHINGTON – House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott  issued the following statement and condolences following the passing of Congressman Jim Hagedorn of Minnesota:

“I was saddened to hear of the loss of one of our Agriculture Committee family this week with the passing of Congressman Jim Hagedorn of Minnesota. Jim’s service on the Agriculture Committee spoke to his work on behalf of his district and his constituents," said Chairman David Scott.

"I would like to extend my deepest condolences and the condolences of each of our Members and the staff on the House Agriculture Committee to his wife, Jennifer, and his family in their time of grieving and let them know that they are in our prayers.  And please stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, for God is with you,” Chairman David Scott added.
