WASHINGTON - House Agriculture Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit Chair Antonio Delgado delivered the following statement after today’s hearing with USDA Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small:

“The work of Rural Development is vital to ensure that our rural communities have the resources they need to become resilient and to serve the members of their communities,” said Chair Antonio Delgado. 

Chair Delgado added, “As a former member of the House Agriculture Committee, Under Secretary Torres Small understands the importance of the policy decisions made by this Committee, and it was great to hear directly from her today about Rural Development’s work and relevant policies in the 2018 Farm Bill."
