Chairman David Scott Announces Staff Promotions

WASHINGTON – House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott announced several staffing promotions for the Democratic staff of the House Agriculture Committee. Caitlin Balagula will serve as Assistant Clerk for the Committee. Balagula currently serves as Staff Assistant and Legislative Assistant for the Committee. Along with her new role, she will continue her policy work with the Subcommittee on Nutrition, Oversight, and Department Operations. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College and is from Brooklyn, New York. Ellis Collier will serve as Legislative Analyst for the Committee. Collier currently serves as a Fellow on the Committee. Collier is originally from Westover, Maryland. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Emily Pliscott will serve as Economist for the Committee. Pliscott currently serves as a Policy Analyst for the Subcommittee on Livestock and Foreign Agriculture and the Subcommittee on Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research. Along with her new role, she will continue her policy work with both subcommittees. Pliscott is originally from Kenyon, MN, and earned her M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri. Madeleine Ring will serve as Staff Assistant. Ring joined the Committee as an intern in August. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, she completed a Government Affairs internship with the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a specialization in Livestock Science and Production from Delaware Valley University. Ring is originally from Glen Arm, Maryland. |
